Fun Filled Family Holidays!

About Longeveau

A group of six people, consisting of two adults and four children, pose together for a photo while standing in deep snow on a ski slope. Everyone is fully outfitted in winter ski gear, complete with helmets, goggles, and colorful winter jackets. On the far left, a man in an orange, beige, and blue jacket rests his hand on the shoulder of a child wearing bright yellow snow pants and a blue puffer jacket. In the middle ground, two older children stand with their skis and poles, one clad in a vibrant blue jacket with a black face mask, and the other in solid black. In the front right foreground, a young child wearing a light grey coat and bright pink snow pants smiles while giving a double thumbs-up to the camera, standing just ahead of a woman in a dark grey jacket and black pants who smiles on the far right. The entire group is positioned against a scenic, overcast backdrop of snow-dusted evergreen trees and misty mountains.

Longeveau began in 1992, when Lynne and Rick Peacock, together with their friends Sue and Leo Gammon, followed a shared love of France, friendship, and the dream of creating a little corner of paradise in the Charente countryside.

More than 30 years later, that dream is still alive, and since moving here we have been proud to take on the mantel, to continue developing and running Longeveau, building on the foundations created by previous generations and shaping the estate for the generations to come.

We (Olivia and Richard) moved to France in 2007 with our then six-year-old son, Thomas, to join the family business and immerse ourselves fully in the rhythm of rural French life. We were married at Longeveau that same year, a moment that tied us to this place in a way we could never have imagined. Since then, we have welcomed three more children — Lucy, Rupert and Éléonor and have poured our hearts into growing and evolving Longeveau with passion, creativity, and care.

A three-tiered wooden sign stands on a grassy roadside under a clear blue sky, overlooking a misty countryside landscape at dawn. The sign features carved text in French across three horizontal planks: the top reads "Manoir de Longeveau" beneath a small engraved illustration of a manor house; the middle reads "Golf d'Aubeterre"; and the bottom reads "Attention aux Enfants!". An empty asphalt road curves gently past the sign toward the hazy, frost-kissed fields and distant rolling hills in the background.

Our Team

While Longeveau is our family home, it is our team who bring its spirit to life every day. Many have been part of the journey since the very beginning.

At the centre of everything we do is Julie, our Operations Director. Julie has supported us from the moment we arrived, shaping the guest experience, guiding our teams and helping us grow the business with dedication, warmth and unwavering professionalism. She is, for so many of our guests and owners, the familiar face of Longeveau.

We are also fortunate to have a committed permanent team who each play a vital role in the smooth running of the estate. Fabrice cares for our greens and grounds; Freddy keeps looks after all mechanics; Philippe tends lovingly to our gardens and pools; Mireille looks after housekeeping standards; Nina manages reservations and guest relations; Mark maintains our buildings and infrastructure; and Zac, the newest member of our team, joins us as Front of House Manager.

Alongside our wonderful seasonal staff, they are all the backbone of the welcoming, relaxed spirit that our guests return for year after year.

A gathering of people mingles on a gravel courtyard in front of a two-story, ivy-covered stone manor house. Several classic cars, including a black vintage sedan, a red coupe, and a blue Citroën 2CV, are parked in a row near the building. In the foreground, groups of adults stand chatting, while a young girl in an orange shirt runs across the middle of the courtyard. The scene is framed by stone walls and green foliage on either side, with tall cypress trees and a dark, overcast sky visible in the background.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create an experience that remains true to the essence of Longeveau, a place where guests feel instantly at home, connected to nature and part of something timeless.

Whether welcoming long-standing holiday families, couples celebrating one of life’s biggest moments, our loyal golf community, or the many corporate groups and retreat organisers who choose Longeveau for its calm, creativity and sense of space, we are honoured to be part of so many meaningful stories.

We are continually investing in the estate, renovating properties, enhancing facilities, and developing new services, always with one purpose: to elevate the experience for our guests today, while protecting and strengthening Longeveau for the future.

Longeveau remains a place for families, friends, groups and guests from around the world to relax, reconnect and create memories that last a lifetime.
