With the help of the tennis coach, Bruce Evans, we run a number of regular and seasonal events at Longeveau. We hope to provide something for everyone, fun to serious, practice to competition. Below is a list of our most popular events.
There is a local ladies group that play through out the year on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From September to June they play in the afternoons from 14h00–16h00, whilst during high season the group plays on Thursday mornings from 10h00–12h00. It is a mixed ability group and varies in size between four to twelve players. They are always very keen to welcome new or visiting players, so please don’t be to shy to join them!
A children’s coaching group runs from April to November on Sunday mornings, between 10h00–11h30. It is an open group, at a cost of 5.00€ per session, and is run by Bruce, the coach. During the summer this is often a great excuse for the children staying at Longeveau to meet each other at the beginning of the week.
Most Mondays during summer we put on an early evening event, the format of which varies but it is very relaxed and informal and often followed by a BBQ. This can be a great opportunity for holiday makers to find other players or couples to play with during their stay. The Monday tournament is open to everyone, of all abilities.
When we are busy in high summer, we occasionally arrange a fun tournament during the week. Details of these events will be displayed on the notice boards, or please feel free to enquire.
During July and August many of the local clubs have annual tournaments, to which our guests are made very welcome. If you are a more serious player you may wish to try your hand. If so, you can contact Bruce Evans, the coach, direct at firstname.lastname@example.org but do so early as the dates and timings are fairly critical.
